We employ community-engaged approaches that incorporate principles of community-based participatory research, randomized controlled trial methods, electronic health record data analysis, observational data analysis using surveillance data, as well as qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. Our work is grounded in community partnerships with homeless services, housing providers, and health systems. As we strive to improve access to tobacco treatment, we also aim to reduce inequities associated with the high rates of tobacco use among disproportionately impacted populations.
